Split an image

Slice one image into equal tiles — grids, strips, or carousel panels.

Split a single image into equal parts: a 3×3 grid for an Instagram profile, horizontal panels for a swipeable carousel, or any custom rows-by-columns layout. The preview shows exactly where every cut lands.

All tiles are generated locally in your browser and download together as a ZIP, named in order so they are easy to post or reassemble.

JPG · PNG · WebP · up to 50 MB · tiles exported as ZIP

How it works

  1. Add an image. Drop, paste, or choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 50 MB.
  2. Choose the grid. Set the number of rows and columns — 1×3 for a carousel, 3×3 for a profile grid, or any custom split. Cut lines preview on the image.
  3. Download the tiles. Export all tiles in one ZIP, numbered in posting order.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded when I split it?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser using the Canvas and File APIs. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

How do I split an image for an Instagram grid?

Choose a 3×3 split (or 3 columns × however many rows your image covers), download the ZIP, and post the tiles in the numbered order — the grid reassembles on your profile.

Are all tiles exactly the same size?

Yes. The image is divided into equal cells, and every tile has identical pixel dimensions, so grids line up perfectly.

How are the downloaded tiles named?

Tiles are numbered left-to-right, top-to-bottom, so the file order matches the order you would post or arrange them in.

Can I split into just horizontal or vertical strips?

Yes. Set rows to 1 for vertical carousel panels, or columns to 1 for horizontal strips.
