Rotate & flip

Turn an image by 90°, 180°, or any angle — and mirror it in one click.

Fix a sideways photo, straighten a tilted shot, or mirror an image: rotate in exact 90° steps, dial in a custom angle, and flip horizontally or vertically. The preview shows the result — including the adjusted canvas — before you export.

Rotation is processed locally in your browser, and 90°-step rotations are lossless for the pixels you keep.

JPG · PNG · WebP · up to 50 MB per image

How it works

  1. Add an image. Drop, paste, or choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 50 MB.
  2. Rotate or flip. Use the 90° buttons for quick turns, drag the angle control to straighten, or flip horizontally / vertically.
  3. Download the result. Export in the original format with the rotation baked in, so it displays correctly everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded when I rotate it?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser using the Canvas and File APIs. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

Why does my photo appear sideways in the first place?

Cameras often store orientation as EXIF metadata instead of rotating the pixels, and some apps ignore that metadata. This tool bakes the rotation into the pixels, so the image displays correctly everywhere.

Does rotating reduce image quality?

90°, 180°, and 270° rotations rearrange pixels without resampling. Custom angles resample once at export, which is visually lossless for photos at normal sizes.

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?

Rotation turns the image around its center; flipping mirrors it. Horizontal flip is the common fix for mirrored selfies and scanned film.

Can I straighten a slightly tilted photo?

Yes. Use the custom angle control to level the horizon, then crop away the edges with the Crop tool if needed.
